Is Hill Point affiliated with any denomination?

Hill Point Church is an affiliate member of the Christian & Missionary Alliance (C&MA).  Our driving passion-- why we exist-- is to know Christ and complete His Commission.  This compels us to reach our own communities with the good news of Jesus.  Our vision will be a movement of Great Commission Christians who are glorifying God by building Christ's Church worldwide.

What are your core values?

Our values guide Hill Point Church as we seek to fulfill our purpose and mission. Our first three values articulate the character of our Christian community. The second three values focus the direction of our disciple-making mission. The final value orients us toward the hope of God's bright future.

#1 God-centered
We exist for God. We are here to bring glory and honor to Him. God created us to live in relationship to Him with our lives centered on Him as our source of wisdom, power, guidance and, ultimately, love. Our desire is to live our lives in harmony with the heartbeat of God. Centering our lives on Him will ensure that we bring honor to him and blessing to ourselves. Being God-centered means that we are Father-honoring (John 17:1-4), Christ-changed (II Cor. 5:17), and Spirit-led (Romans 8:13-15; Gal. 5:25).

#2 Bible-based
The Bible centers us on God as our authority concerning faith, doctrine and practice. It tells us about God and His will and provides guidance for Hill Point Church and our individual lives (II Timothy 3:16-17).

#3 Life-changing
Centering life and ministry on God and basing our faith and practice on the Bible leads us to a life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ. It is through this life-changing experience that those separated from God by sin are forgiven and given a dynamic love relationship with God. We witness the dynamic transformation in ourselves and others as we develop the character qualities of Jesus Christ. As changed people we follow the leadership of Jesus Christ in our lives to maximize the benefit of the life-change we have with Him (John 10:10).

#4 Outreach-oriented
Since we have experienced the joy of life-change through Jesus Christ, the orientation of our ministry is toward those who do not yet know Jesus Christ. An outreach-orientation guides our ministry development at Hill Point Church toward those who are in the greatest need of life-change. Like Jesus, we do not exist to be served but to serve and seek the salvation of the lost. (Matthew 9:37-38)

#5 Disciple-making
Our outreach-orientation will lead to more people becoming disciples for Jesus Christ. We value the transformation of a relationship with Jesus Christ and the development of all of Jesus' disciples to maturity and faith so that they adopt a vision for God's kingdom. (Matthew 28:18-20)

#6 Kingdom-building
When we are outreach-oriented and disciple-making we will be partnering with God to build his kingdom. Kingdom building expands beyond the walls of our church to the initiatives and plans that God wants to accomplish throughout the world (Acts 1:8).

#7 Future-looking
The Bible tells us that we have a great and glorious future in Jesus Christ. It is our belief that this hope spills over to our present and earthly future. The best days of Hill Point Church are yet to come because we have a God who is not yet finished blessing us (Philippians 3:13-14).
