Our Mission

"Know God, Grow in Faith and Serve in Joy."

In Matthew 28:19-20, we are told, “Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you. And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age.”

As we read these words given to us by Jesus Christ, we are reminded of why we exist as believers in Christ and as the Body of Christ. Here at Hill Point our desire is to see God’s people move from Simply Knowing and Loving God, to Growing in our Faith and Serving in Joy.

Core Values are fundamental principles that we cannot compromise and we must not ignore. They are non-negotiable boundary-markers that keep us “in play;” key foundational beliefs and standards that undergird the church. While there certainly are more core values that could qualify, here are some that we emphasize, along with representative references for further clarity:

  • Kingdom first (Matthew 6:33)
  • Loving God and loving people (Matthew 22:37-40)
  • The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ is essential for growth (Titus 2:11-12)
  • God's plan for reaching people far from Him has always been to have people near Him (1 Peter 2:5,9)
  • Without the empowerment of the Holy Spirit we can accomplish nothing (Zechariah 4:6)
  • Engaging in conversation with God is a foundational work of the people of God (Revelation 3:20)
  • Hearing and obeying God's Word is foundational for true success (2 Timothy 3:16-17 )
  • Achieving God's purposes involves taking faith-filled risks (Hebrews 11:6)
